马一浮的诗学观是面向传统的;朱光潜的诗学观是面向现代的。诗学方法上,前者侧重整体思维的综合性;后者侧重个体美感经验的分析。无论是以中化西,还是以西化中,最后得出的是一个重构的新的体用(中西互为体用)关系。诗的创作上,俩人似乎都非常强调作诗需要有涵养工夫,但马有玄学倾向,朱则偏于科学。尽管有这些不同,但都丝毫不能抹杀两位学者思想系统的中国立场。诗教观上,马朱则还有形而上和形而中的分别;马的诗教偏向主仁,朱的诗教偏向主情。二人的诗学观甚而是文化观都可以说是异曲同工、殊途同归。

As for the theory of poetry,Ma Yifu's is traditional and Zhu Guangqian's is modern,which shows three differences between them.First,their method of study is different.Ma focuses on the comprehensive overall thinking,while Zhu likes to analyze the aesthetic experience of individuals.Second,on poetry writing,it seems that both of them laid great emphasis on the significance of self-restraint intellectuality skills,although Ma has a tendency to Metaphysics,while Zhu is in favor of science.Thirdly,they have different points of view of poetry cultivation.Ma considered that Ren(仁) is the most important element and Zhu puts forward the emotional cultivation.In spite of these differences,there is no way to deny the fact that both their thoughts favor China.And we can also say that their theory on poetry,as well as culture,is similar.
